I met Desmond Tutu when he was visiting the Episcopal Church Center in New York, where I was working at the time. This was in 1988. He was very soft spoken and seemed like a very kind person.

I want to ask Annie Proulx how she came up with the story of Brokeback Mountain, and tell her that her writing haunts me.

I think she is very talented, and sexy, too! I’d like to know what she is like when she isn’t acting.

My son and I went to see David Sedaris in Ann Arbor, MI a few years ago. Afterward, we waited in line for him to sign our books. He signed my son’s book and then while he continued to talk with my son, he signed my book with, “I can see you have your hands full!” He makes me laugh.

Jimmy Carter is involved in Habitat for Humanity and has done so much to improve the lives of people who aren’t financially fortunate. He has also done much to further the cause of peace in the world. He seems very down to earth.

Because he is an excellent cook! And I love his recipes. I’d love to go to his show and taste his food.
